Yamunotri

About Yamunotri

Yamunotri is a sacred town in the Garhwal Himalayas, known as the origin of the River Yamuna. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks and green valleys, it is one of the four holy Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. The main attraction here is the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, which stands gracefully near the river. Devotees often cook rice in the natural hot springs of Surya Kund as an offering to the goddess. The journey to Yamunotri, whether on foot or pony, passes through scenic trails and waterfalls, making it both a spiritual and natural experience.
