Hanuman Chatti

Hamlet at the river confluence with a small Hanuman temple.

Hanuman Chatti sits at the confluence of the Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna rivers, roughly 13 km from Yamunotri Temple. Once the original starting point of the pilgrim trek before the route shifted to Janki Chatti, it retains a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, believed to mark a meeting with Bhima from the Mahabharata. The hamlet also serves trekkers heading toward Dodi Tal and Darwa Pass, offering simple guesthouses and a peaceful riverside setting surrounded by pine forest.
