Overview

Zuluk, also called Dzuluk, is a small East Sikkim village on the Old Silk Route toward the high passes near the border. Travelers come for the stacked hairpin bends of the Zig Zag Road, sunrise at Thambi View Point, and onward drives into Nathang Valley. Homestays are the main lodging, and a Protected Area Permit is mandatory. The circuit is generally open only to Indian nationals.

How to Reach Zuluk

Intercity connectivity and travel options

Reach Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP), then road via Gangtok or via Rongli checkpost into East Sikkim. Rongli is the usual last ATM and permit check before the climb to Zuluk.
