Nathang Valley sits higher on the Silk Route beyond Zuluk and Lungthung, a broad high pasture often compared to a quieter Ladakh landscape. Rolling grassland, distant snow ridges and thin air define the stop, and many packages continue from here toward Kupup Lake and Old Baba Mandir. Evenings get cold quickly at this altitude, so most travelers either day trip from Zuluk or overnight in simple valley lodging when available. A Protected Area Permit and good acclimatization matter here.
