Gangaur is a traditional Hindu festival widely celebrated in Rajasthan and parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, dedicated to Goddess Gauri (Parvati), the symbol of marital happiness and prosperity.
Observed in March-April after Holi, the festival celebrates love, devotion, and the bond between husband and wife.
Women worship the goddess seeking marital bliss, a good spouse, and family well-being. The celebrations include colorful processions with beautifully adorned idols, folk music, and dances.
Cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur host grand Gangaur processions, making the festival a vibrant expression of regional culture and tradition.
