Norbulingka Institute
Founded in 1988 and named after the Dalai Lama's summer palace in Lhasa, the Norbulingka Institute is a living centre for Tibetan art, culture, and craftsmanship located 12 km from McLeodganj in Sidhpur. Its traditional Tibetan architecture, Japanese-style gardens, lotus ponds, and active workshops where artisans create thangkas, woodcarvings, and embroidery make it one of the most immersive cultural experiences near Dharamshala.
