Intercity connectivity and travel options

Gorakhpur Junction, about 50 km, is the main railhead, with trains from Delhi, Lucknow and Varanasi. Kushinagar has a small airport with limited flights; Gorakhpur airport is the practical alternative. The road from Gorakhpur is now part of NH27.
