Winter festival at Sambhar Lake, India's largest inland salt lake, with folk performances, craft stalls and outdoor activities.
The Sambhar Festival is held in winter on the shores of Sambhar Lake, India's largest inland saltwater lake, about 80 to 95 km west of Jaipur. The programme mixes Rajasthani folk music and dance with craft and food stalls and outdoor activities such as cycling and camel rides, and it coincides with the season when flamingos and other migratory birds feed on the lake.
