Kalpeshwar Temple

Kalpeshwar Temple is one of the Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is unique for being the only one accessible throughout the year. Located in the remote Urgam Valley of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, the temple is reached through a short cave passage and is believed to enshrine the matted locks (jata) of Lord Shiva. The trek to Kalpeshwar passes through dense forests, meadows, and mountain streams, offering a deeply meditative experience. The temple's year-round accessibility makes it a quieter alternative to the other four Panch Kedar shrines.
