Shillong (~55 km) is the nearest major town. Umroi airport or Guwahati airport (~120 km) with onward road transfer. Road from Shillong via Cherrapunji (Sohra) to Tyrna.

Shared taxis from Cherrapunji (~10 km) or Shillong (~55 km). No public transport to Tyrna village. Trek on foot from Tyrna to Nongriat.
