The Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple stands at the base of the Brahmagiri range, built in the 18th century by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in black stone Hemadpanthi style. Among the twelve Jyotirlingas, it is unique for housing a three faced lingam representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, adorned with a jeweled crown believed to date to the Pandava era. The temple draws pilgrims year round, with numbers surging during Maha Shivaratri and the Kumbh Mela.
