Sirimane Falls, also called Kigga Falls, tumbles about 40 feet through a break in the dense Western Ghats forest approximately 15 km from Sringeri, reachable via the village of Kigga. The falls flow year-round but are most dramatic in the months following the monsoon. A short descent of well-laid steps leads visitors directly to the base, where the wide cascade creates a natural pool safe for wading and bathing outside the monsoon season. The surrounding forest is thick and largely undisturbed. Sirimane also serves as a stop on the Narasimha Parvata trekking route that ends at Kigga, making it a natural addition to any Sringeri itinerary.
