Dastgeer Sahib is one of the most revered Sufi shrines in Srinagar, dedicated to the 12th-century Baghdad-based saint Hazrat Abdul Qadir Gilani, known as Dastgeer among Kashmiri Muslims. The shrine in the Khawaja Bazaar area of old Srinagar draws huge numbers of devotees daily and especially on Thursdays. The original structure was destroyed in a 2012 fire and has since been rebuilt, preserving its status as a centre of popular devotion in the city.
