Bihar Museum

The Bihar Museum, partially inaugurated in 2015 and fully opened in 2017, is a state-of-the-art facility spread over 13.5 acres on Bailey Road in Patna. Designed by Maki and Associates of Japan in collaboration with OPOLIS Architects of Mumbai, the museum showcases Bihar's rich heritage with artifacts dating from ancient civilizations up to 1764. The museum features multiple galleries including regional art, contemporary art, and a special children's section with interactive exhibits. A highlight is the renowned Didarganj Yakshi, a remarkable Mauryan-era sculpture that was transferred here from Patna Museum. The museum's modern architecture, interactive exhibits, and cultural events make it a significant cultural landmark and a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts visiting Patna.
