Kune Falls

Kune Falls

Three-tiered waterfall ranked among India''s highest, framed by Sahyadri hillsides.

Kune Falls drops in three distinct tiers from a height of around 200 metres, placing it among the tallest waterfalls in India. Set between Lonavala and Khandala, the falls are especially striking during monsoon when the volume of water peaks and the surrounding hills turn a deep green. A pool at the foot of the falls allows for a cautious dip, though currents can be strong after heavy rain. Some seasons have seen restricted access to the immediate foot of the falls due to private land along the approach road, so current entry conditions are worth confirming before visiting.
