Christ Church, Kasauli

Kasauli's colonial church from the 1840s, built in the shape of a cross near the bus stand.

Christ Church stands close to the Kasauli bus stand and is the town's best known landmark. Its foundation stone was laid in 1844, and the stone church is built in the shape of a cross, set among chestnut and fir trees. Look for the tower clock and the stained glass windows. Once an Anglican church, it has been part of the Church of North India since 1970 and still holds services for a small congregation. Keep voices low and photography discreet inside.
