The Kaila Devi temple is dedicated to a form of Durga and is one of the most important goddess temples in eastern Rajasthan. It stands in Kailadevi village near the Kalisil river in the Trikut hills, inside the Kailadevi Wildlife Sanctuary, about 23 km from Karauli. The temple has a marble sanctum, a large chequered courtyard and a busy market lane leading up to it. The Lakkhi Mela, held for about two weeks in the month of Chaitra (March or April), brings lakhs of pilgrims, many of whom walk for days to reach it.

- How to Reach: About 23 km from Karauli. Taxis, shared jeeps and RSRTC buses run from Karauli, with extra services during the fair.
