About Kalpa

Kalpa sits on a terrace above the Sutlej in Kinnaur, facing the Kinnaur Kailash massif and the distinct Shivling peak. Apple orchards, slate-roofed houses, and walks toward Roghi give the village its character. Reckong Peo is the administrative town below; most visitors stay in Kalpa for the mountain views. Inner Line permits apply on some routes further east, so check current rules before going on.
