About Junagadh

Junagadh, located at the foot of the sacred Girnar Hill, is an ancient city whose name literally translates to "Old Fort." It is a treasure trove of history, featuring the Mauryan-era Uparkot Fort, the 2,300-year-old Ashoka Rock Edicts, and the stunning Indo-Gothic architecture of the Mahabat Maqbara. Renowned as a spiritual hub for both Hindus and Jains, the city is famous for the Bhavnath Fair (Mini Kumbh) and the annual Girnar Parikrama, making it one of Gujarat's most culturally rich destinations
