Jagat Shiromani Temple in Amer
At the foot of Amber Fort, the 17th-century Jagat Shiromani Temple is an architectural masterpiece built by Queen Kanakwati. Renowned for its breathtaking Nagara-style sandstone carvings and an ornate marble gateway, the temple is unusual in being dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, and the saint-poetess Meera Bai. It houses the historic Krishna idol once worshipped by Meera Bai herself, blending romantic devotion with stellar Rajput history.
