Deoria Tal sits at about 2,400 metres above Sari village, with a 2 to 2.5 km uphill walk to a still lake that mirrors Chaukhamba on clear mornings. Travellers staying in Chopta often take a short drive to Sari and treat this as a separate sunrise or half-day outing from the Tungnath trail. Camps and simple dhabas sit near the water. Rohini Bugyal lies on a longer connecting walk between the lake and Chopta if you want a full day in the meadows.
