Mawkdok Dympep Valley View

A cliffside viewpoint near a suspension bridge offering panoramic views of the deep Mawkdok Dympep valley and gorges below.

Mawkdok Dympep Valley View is a viewpoint constructed by the forest department at the edge of a dramatic gorge, marking the entry to the Sohra tourist circuit. Visitors cross the Duwan Singh Syiem bridge before reaching a platform that looks out over deep valleys carved into the plateau. The landscape shifts abruptly here from rolling grassland to steep gorge, making it a popular stop for photographs on the drive in from Shillong. Clear days offer visibility across several ridgelines of the Khasi Hills.
