Gentse Gaden Rabgye Ling, known simply as Bomdila Monastery, is the town's main Gelugpa centre and the reason many overnight travelers climb to Upper Bomdila. The white and gold complex sits above pine slopes with wide views over the West Kameng valleys. Prayer halls, residential quarters, and a large courtyard keep a steady rhythm of monastic life. Dawn and late afternoon are the calmest times to visit before continuing toward Dirang or Tawang.
