Painkuni Festival
Painkuni Festival is a major annual festival celebrated at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Held during the Malayalam month of Painkuni (March–April), the festival features grand rituals, processions with decorated elephants, traditional music, and the ceremonial hoisting of a flag to mark the beginning of the celebrations. The festival concludes with the Arattu procession, where the temple deities are taken to the sea at Shankumugham for a sacred bath.
