Yuksom Market

Yuksom Market occupies the compact centre of town, lined with small shops selling basic groceries, winter clothing, handmade woollens and general trekking essentials. Most visitors pass through here either before setting off on the Goecha La trek or after visiting Dubdi Monastery and Kathok Lake nearby. The market has a relaxed, unhurried character typical of West Sikkim, and it doubles as a good spot to chat with locals or pick up last minute supplies before heading into the mountains.
