Tashi Tenka

Ruined royal palace complex with views toward Pemayangtse and Rabdentse.

Tashi Tenka was once a royal palace complex situated on a ridge above Yuksom, though little remains today of the original structure beyond scattered foundations. The site still offers sweeping views across the Rathong valley toward Rabdentse and Pemayangtse monasteries to the south and Khecheopalri Lake to the west. This makes it a rewarding short stop for visitors interested in Sikkim's royal history, offering a quieter alternative to the town's busier monastery and lake based attractions nearby.
