Banasura Sagar Dam, built across a tributary of the Kabini river, holds the distinction of being India's largest earthen dam and the second largest of its kind in Asia. The reservoir it creates spreads out beneath the Banasura hills, with a walk up to the viewing point offering wide views over the water and surrounding greenery. Boating and a short trek toward Banasura Peak add options for visitors, while the dam's gardens make it an easy spot for a relaxed picnic.
