Siddeshwara Temple in Hanamkonda is among the oldest shrines in the Warangal region, believed to date to the 3rd century CE. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is also called Paschimdwara Mukha Temple for its unusual west facing entrance, a rarity among Indian temples. The Chalukya style carvings on its walls and pillars draw architecture enthusiasts alongside devotees. Maha Shivaratri is celebrated here with particular fervour, and the temple's calm, garden lined setting makes it an easy pairing with nearby Padmakshi Temple.
