Nidhivan is a sacred grove in Vrindavan believed by devotees to be the site of Krishna and Radha's eternal Raas Lila (divine dance). The grove contains hundreds of tulsi plants that, according to tradition, transform into gopis (cowherd girls) at night to participate in the Raas Lila with Krishna. The complex is closed after sunset and no one is allowed to remain inside overnight. Many devotees believe that those who witness the divine Raas Lila lose their sight, hearing, or memory. The Rang Mahal inside the complex is said to be the place where Krishna and Radha spend the night. Nidhivan remains one of Vrindavan's most mystical and mysterious sites.
