Prakasam Barrage spans more than a kilometre across the Krishna River, resting on 160 pillars and connecting the Kolkata to Chennai highway. Named after Andhra Pradesh's first chief minister, the barrage facilitates irrigation across a large stretch of farmland while offering sweeping views of the river and the Kanaka Durga Temple on the hill beyond. The Krishnaveni Mandapam river museum sits alongside it.
