Gandhi Hill rises 500 feet above the city and holds the first Gandhi memorial in the country to feature seven stupas, unveiled in 1968. The complex includes a 52 foot stupa, a memorial library, a sound and light show narrating Gandhi's life, and a planetarium that adds an educational layer to the visit. The hilltop location also affords wide views over Vijayawada.
