Jama Masjid, also called Jamiya Masjid, is one of Vijayapura's great congregational mosques from the Adil Shahi era. Vast arcaded courtyards, a richly finished mihrab, and a calm prayer hall make it a key stop on the heritage trail between Gol Gumbaz and Bara Kaman. Dress modestly and remove footwear as directed. Visit outside Friday peak prayer times if you want freer photography of the architecture.
