Grishneshwar jyotirlinga

The smallest of the 12 Jyotirlingas, located near the Ellora Caves, renowned for its ancient Hemadpanti architecture.

Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple near Aurangabad in Maharashtra is the twelfth and last of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Located next to the famous Ellora Caves, the temple was rebuilt by Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore in the 18th century in the classic Hemadpanthi architectural style using red stone. The temple's five-tiered shikhara and intricately carved outer walls are among its notable features. Devotees believe that a visit to Grishneshwar completes the Jyotirlinga pilgrimage circuit, and the temple draws large crowds during Mahashivaratri.
