Sursagar Lake

Sursagar Lake, also known as Chand Talao, sits at the heart of Vadodara city and is one of its most recognisable landmarks. The lake's centrepiece is a large statue of Lord Shiva that rises dramatically from the water and is dramatically lit after dusk, creating a striking evening scene. The lakefront promenade fills with locals for evening walks, street food and cultural events, making it the city's most relaxed social space. Boating facilities and seasonal festivals add to the appeal.
