Hazira Maqbara in the old city of Vadodara contains the tombs of Qutub-ud-din Muhammad Khan, the tutor of Akbar's son, and his son Naurang Khan, a key administrator of the Mughal court. The mausoleums display characteristic Mughal architecture with their ostentatious arches and octagonal platforms, while the actual graves are housed in an underground chamber with above-ground replicas. The complex is one of Vadodara's most significant Mughal-era monuments and an important stop on any old city heritage walk.
