Ratha Beedi Market (Car Street)

Ratha Beedi, also known as Car Street, wraps around Sri Krishna Matha and doubles as Udupi's oldest and most famous market. Shops here sell deity idols, flowers, incense, spices, and handicrafts, along with traditional silk sarees and gold jewelry from nearby specialty stores. The street takes its name from the temple's large ceremonial chariot, a striking sight in itself. Evenings bring the best atmosphere, with pleasant weather and a lively crowd browsing alongside pilgrims headed to the temple.
