The bustling square and street immediately surrounding the 17th-century Jagdish Temple, forming one of the most atmospheric shopping areas in Udaipur's old city. Compact shops and stalls line the lanes selling traditional wooden toys, leather-bound diaries, handcrafted postcards, terracotta and brass items, and Rajasthani miniature paintings. The chowk comes especially alive during Navratri and other festivals, when the entire square transforms into a celebration of local craft and culture.
