Built in 961 AD in the village of Jagat, about 50 km southeast of Udaipur, this 10th-century Shakti temple is dedicated to Ambika Devi, a fierce form of Goddess Durga. Constructed in the Maru Gurjara style, its outer walls are covered with detailed carvings of deities, apsaras, and mythological scenes, earning it the title Khajuraho of Mewar. The site is protected by Rajasthan's Archaeology and Museum Department and draws pilgrims and heritage travellers alike.
