Neermahal, meaning water palace, sits in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake near Melaghar, roughly 23 to 25 kilometers from Udaipur town. Built in 1930 by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya as a summer residence, the palace blends Hindu and Islamic architectural styles across 24 rooms and terraced gardens. Reaching it requires a short boat ride across the lake, and an annual water festival in August brings boat races and cultural events to the surrounding waters.
