Kalyan Sagar Lake

A large lake beside Tripura Sundari Temple, home to rare Bostami turtles.

Kalyan Sagar lies immediately beside the Tripura Sundari Temple and is best known for its population of rare Bostami turtles, which has earned the temple the nickname Koorma Pith. The lake's calm waters and green surroundings make it a natural extension of a Matabari visit, particularly during the Diwali fair when the area draws its largest crowds. Visitors often pause here to feed the turtles or simply take in the scenery before or after darshan.
