Kushavarta Kund

Kushavarta Kund is a holy tank located within the Trimbakeshwar temple premises, regarded by pilgrims as the point where the Godavari River becomes visible after its underground journey from Brahmagiri. Devotees take a ritual dip here before entering the main temple, believing it purifies the soul, and many also perform ancestral rites such as shraddha at its banks. The kund's proximity to the main shrine makes it a near mandatory stop for visiting pilgrims.
