Akasa Ganga

A sacred waterfall on the Tirumala hills believed to be where the Ganga descended from heaven, visited by pilgrims on the foot trek.

Akasa Ganga is a sacred waterfall on the Tirumala hills, located along the traditional foot trek route to the Venkateswara Temple. According to legend, this is where the Ganga descended from the heavens, and the spring water is believed to be holy. Pilgrims climbing the Alipiri or Srivari Mettu footpaths stop here to take a ritual dip before proceeding for darshan. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forest and offers a serene, spiritually charged break on the pilgrimage route.
