Talao Pali (Masunda Lake)

A centrally located lake with boating, water scooters, and horse carriage rides, known locally as Thane's lively evening gathering spot.

Talao Pali, also called Masunda Lake, sits barely a ten minute walk from Thane railway station and anchors the city's evening social life. A small island holding a Shiva shrine and a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue rises from its center, while boats and water scooters circle the shore. Horse carriage rides add old-world charm along the banks. During Ganesh Chaturthi, the lake becomes a focal point for idol immersions, and locals consider it one of Thane's most recognizable gathering places.
