Solan Brewery was established in 1855 by an Englishman and is counted among the oldest breweries in Asia, giving Solan much of its colonial era identity. Now operated by Mohan Meakin Limited, the site has evolved into a distillery best known for producing Old Monk, and it continues to draw visitors curious about its nineteenth century industrial architecture and long history. Located within the town itself, it pairs easily with a walk along Solan's Mall Road.
