Rakela Tal

Rakela Tal lies south of the Rama Temple on the eastern side of the Sirpur road, its still water often thick with lotus blooms. Ruins of an old fort ring the lake, mixed in with farmland and scattered Hindu and Buddhist monument fragments. A modern era Krishna temple stands nearby, giving the area an active devotional use alongside its archaeological interest. It offers a quieter, greener contrast to the excavated temple platforms elsewhere on the site.
