Sepoy Dhura Tea Garden

Sepoy Dhura Tea Garden is one of the most accessible working tea estates near Siliguri, situated on the outskirts of the city towards the Himalayan foothills. The estate grows tea in the Darjeeling tea-growing belt and offers visitors a firsthand view of the cultivation process - from plucking tender two-leaf-and-a-bud shoots to the rolling rows of tea bushes carpeting the hillside.

Walking through the estate, visitors can observe tea plucking, interact with workers, and take in panoramic views of the surrounding hills and on clear days, snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The fresh mountain air and green landscape make it a popular stop for those transiting through Siliguri towards Darjeeling or Sikkim.

Best visited in the morning when plucking activity is at its peak. April to November is the active season for most tea gardens.
