Madho Niwas Kothi

A 19th-century mansion turned museum displaying Shekhawati frescoes, artifacts, and a window into the opulent life of Sikar's ruling class.

Madho Niwas Kothi is a 19th-century aristocratic mansion in Sikar that has been repurposed as a heritage museum. The property was built by the royal family of Sikar and reflects the grandeur of the Shekhawati style, with frescoed interiors, carved archways, and ornate detailing across its rooms and courtyards. As a museum, it displays historic artifacts, weapons, portraits, and accounting records that document the region's mercantile and royal past. It offers one of the few structured heritage experiences in Sikar where visitors can engage with the history of the Thikana Sikar estate.
