Laxmangarh Havelis

A dense cluster of fresco-painted merchant mansions in the town of Laxmangarh, considered some of the finest in the entire Shekhawati region.

The town of Laxmangarh, about 30 km from Sikar, is home to one of the most concentrated collections of painted havelis in Shekhawati. The Char Chowk Haveli, Sanganeria Haveli, Mirijam Kayla Haveli, Ram Gopal Poddar Haveli, and Gopi Ram Bagaria Haveli are among the most visited, each displaying distinct fresco styles ranging from mythological narratives to portraits of European goods and trains, reflecting the cosmopolitan tastes of 19th-century Marwari merchants. The town is compact enough to cover on foot and is typically paired with a visit to Laxmangarh Fort above.
