Laxmangarh Fort was constructed in 1862 by the then Raja of Sikar, Laxman Singh, and stands on a prominent hill overlooking the town of Laxmangarh, about 30 km from Sikar. Built in the Shekhawati style, the fort is pieced together from massive sandstone blocks and features impressive bastions, arched gateways, and ornate carvings. The fort is now privately held, but the grounds include a Lord Hanuman temple accessible to visitors. The hilltop position offers sweeping views over the painted-haveli lanes of Laxmangarh spread below.
