Jeen Mata Temple

A revered hilltop goddess temple in the Aravalli hills, dedicated to Jeen Mata, an incarnation of Durga, drawing massive crowds during Navratri.

Jeen Mata Temple is one of Rajasthan's most important Shakti shrines, perched on a hill in the Aravalli range about 29 km from Sikar. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jeen, widely revered as a manifestation of Durga, and its origins are believed to predate written records. A ropeway connects the base to the hilltop shrine, and the forested hillside setting lends the approach a distinctly spiritual character. During the Navratri festival, the temple draws enormous crowds of devotees from across Rajasthan and beyond, making it one of the major pilgrimage events in the region.
